Winter weather , Donovan, and housework

Tis, not fit for man nor beast out there!!!  And it looks that it will be the same for at least few days {feels like years already}.

One, meaning me, has accumulated a lot just plain old stuff/junk, and it's time to get rid of some, most , maybe even all of it. No that is getting extreme, I will aim for most of it, not all of it. There are a few meaningful objects and even articles of clothing I will keep.

Recycling what ever I can, might sell a few still use able items...not sure how or even IF this idea will work!  But so far I have  packed up almost all of my old shoes, started with shoes because I have been told that old shoes never come back into style.

That is simply , sorta wrong, think of platform shoes, EEK, Ok don't think of them and I won't either.

Books have already been sorted and labeled for their destinations and I was starting on music....  when there, with it's sunny yellow label was  a 45 of "I Love my shirt" by Donovan, and to my surprise and delight, my old record player, still worked and even had a spindle for playing 45's.

I'm going back to listen to more old tunes and to hopefully finish my chore...while I still want to do this.  Winter can get seriously dull, and motivational at the same time.

  • Do you have a shirt that you really love,
One that you feel so groovy in ?
You don't even mind if it starts to fade,
That only makes it nicer still.
I love my shirt, I love my shirt,
My shirt is so comfortably lovely.
I love my shirt, I love my shirt,
My shirt is so comfortably lovely.
Do you have some jeans that you really love,
Ones that you feel so groovy in ?
You don't even mind if they start to fray
That only makes them nicer still.
I love my jeans, I love my jeans,
My jeans are so comfortably lovely.
I love my jeans, I love my jeans,
My jeans are so comfortably lovely.
When they are taken to the cleaners,
I can't wait to get them home again.
Yes, I take 'em to the cleaners
And there they wash them in a stream,
    Scrub a rub dub dub
And there they wash them in a stream -
    Know what I mean.
Do you have some shoes that you really love,
Ones that you feel so flash in ?
You don't even mind if they start to get some holes in
That only makes them nicer still.
I love my shoes, I love my shoes,
My shoes are so comfortably lovely.
I love my jeans, I love my jeans,
My jeans are so comfortably lovely.
I love my shirt, I love my shirt,
In fact I love my wardrobe.
I love my shirt, I love my shirt,
My shirt is so comfortably lovely.
I love my shirt, I love my shirt,
My shirt is so comfortably lovely.
I love my shirt, I love my shirt,
My shirt is so comfortably lovely.
I love my shirt, I love my shirt,
My shirt is so comfortably lovely.
I love my shirt, I love my shirt,
My shirt is so comfortably lovely.Writer/s: DONOVAN LEITCH
