Hello SEPTEMBER

Today dawned a beautiful, but a bit chilly day.  It was quite late when we got home last night , the clouds obscured the moon, and  I lingered outside in the chill air.  The night before I felt  lucky to have caught a brief glimpse of the  Full corn, Blue moon Supermoon, and it was stunning! However last night I was hoping for clouds because it was so very still and shilly, feeling there would surely have been a frost had it not been for the clouds.

September is the month for reaping the harvest at his latitude, jars of tomatoes and then apples, pumpkin and red beets begin to line the pantry shelves..   Then there is replenishing the shelves with staple,  sorting thru the winter clothing and half done projects and half read books from last year.  any and all of those chores that need done before winter.  But first, there are a few days to enjoy, mountain pies and fresh corn prepared on an open fire, doing not too much, watching the sun go down past the treeline and the moon rise above it.

Planning and dreaming for the time when dormancy will be over and outdoor work begins again.  The smell of coal smoke and burning leaves turns to the scent of fresh earth. The time when we again go forward, look forward.

 Indeed , Lucy,nor have I!!!
