quietly welcome ~~~~~~on haiku Tuesday

I am captivated by Kari McKay's photo.

The serenity of walking the cows out to the meadow on a snowy morning,  it conjures up a simpler life and the plea, sure of the olde tymes , perhaps more to someone who has never walked cows to pasture than to someone who has.  What beautiful coats these cows have, they are obviously loved and cared for by their owners.   And then there is that wee little doe.   They are so calm as they walk along with her in their midst.  Real cows are not such gentle, compliant and docile creatures as the cows of literature are, they are also much smarter and sneakier but I like them.  They do have minds of their own, and plenty of personality.  Does it sound like I am feeling a bit nostalgic for my youth on the farm, me thinks you are correct.

We should all be so accepting of those who need us but are different from us.
