covering the sagging floor
path is wide and worn

winter sun shines through the cracks
it will be night soon

A Sunday with the art of Pamela Joy Trow

Ever since learning about "Day of the Dead", I have  enjoyed its whimsy and its warm and fanciful images another reality.  Though it is a part of the modern celebration of Halloween, All Saints and All Souls Days, it origins are in the Roman holiday of Lemuria which took place in May.

Pamela's  illustration are, a gentle blending of cultures, and I wanted to share them with my readers.  Enjoy!

haiku~~ merry Woodsmass

first cup of coffee
robust flakes began to fall
late Spring's snows blanket

the fire glows and warms
the road disappeared by night fall
warm with Woodsmas lights
